About Wilma.
Wilma is the artist behind Travel'Art. Born and raised in Frankfurt (Germany), she and her family moved to Sarnia Lambton in 2011. Although she always dabbled in various artistic endeavors, in 2020 she started to seriously pursue art. At that time, she also took the challenge of teaching herself to paint with pastels. The immediacy of pastels, along with the luscious colors and textures captivated her. Her contemporary work is focused on local landscapes and seascapes. Wilma's work was part of several exhibitions, she displayed her originals & prints at local businesses and galleries. Living near Lake Huron make seascapes a recurring theme and continuing source. In September 2023 she won the Panel's Choice Award at the ART COMP in London, Ontario.
